Folk literature researchies of Sadettin Nüzhet Ergun

This thesis was prepared to present life and works of Sadettin Nüzhet Ergun. But the thesis was especially limited with Ergun?s Türkish folk literatüre works because of Sadettin Nüzhet worked at every field of Türkish literatüre. At the first stage of thesis, knowledges that about S. Nüzhet?s life were collected from encyclopedias and antologies and than, his books and articles were got. in this way. Articles which pertain to folk literatüre and written in Arabian alphabet, were translated in Latin alphabet and they were inserted in to the thesis. Also, bibliography of his books and articles was prepared. We can say at result that Sadettin Nüzhet Ergun who have an important place in Türkish literatüre history, did first works, especially in his folk literatüre works. So he was innivator of new works which will be do at this field with was prepared minstrel monographies and was collected Bektashi poems.
