Sufism in Sadık Yalsızuçanlar's stories

Sufism is a system of thought that aims to raise the human spirit morally. There are many definitions and types of Sufism that is difficult to verbalize because it is experienced in a different state and level. Emerging after the Prophet and constituting the esoteric side of Islam, Sufism influences the life and the art of the Turks from the first years of acceptance of Islam. In literature, Sufism is first studied in poetry and afterwards in novels and stories in recent years. Sadık Yalsızuçanlar is a contemporary writer who has included Sufi thought in almost all his works. In the stories of Yalsızuçanlar, whose works include stories, novels, essays, tales and compilations of stories, Sufi thought and spiritual maturation, the main object of this thought, are the main themes. In the introduction part of the work "Sufism in Sadık Yalsızuçanlar's Stories", Sufism was examined in general terms and the spread process of Sufism among the Turks and its effects on Turkish culture were mentioned. In the first part of the study, the relation between Turkish literature and Sufism was emphasized and in the second part, the effect of Sufism on Sadık Yalsızuçanlar's understanding of art was mentioned, and then the Sufi elements in the story of the author constituting the main purpose of this work were identified and analysed. In the conclusion part, the effects of Sufi thought on the structure, language and theme of the stories were evaluated. Key words: Sufism, Literature, Sadık Yalsızuçanlar, Story
