Sadr Al-Din Zâdeh Muhammad Amin Al-Şirwâni's Writing Named Risâle Fi Al-Imân: Critical edition, translation and evaluation

In our study, 17th. century It is aimed to analyze, translate and evaluate the Risale fî al-iman work of Muhammad Amin al-Shirwani (d. 1036/1627), one of the Ottoman scholars, and introduce it to the literature. As the name of the treatise suggests, it is a work that deals with issues of faith. Shirwani specifically explains two issues in this treatise. This treatise is a short work that covers the subjects of increase-decrease and exception in faith. The second, third and fourth verses of the Anfal Surah constitute the content of the treatise in question. Shirwani presents a unique narrative within the framework of these verses. In this study, first of all, some information is given about the purpose and method of the treatise. In the first part, information is given by creating a general framework about the life, family, teachers, students and works of the author Shirwani. In the second part, the translation of the work from Arabic to Turkish and the analysis we obtained by comparing it with four copies are included, and the study is completed by moving on to the third part, the evaluation part. The concepts used by Shirwani make the view he adopts more understandable to us. As a matter of fact, it is seen that he did not refrain from using Sufi concepts in this treatise. However, we must state that within the framework of the treatise we are considering, he does not reveal his religious sect, therefore it is open to interpretation. Although the work is a small treatise, it contains important concepts, Shirwani's scientific personality and original interpretations.
