Özet (EN)

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is already known as the gold standard method in the treatment of symptomatic gallbladder stone disease. Though, during this operation gallbladder is often being perforated. As we know but don't care really much, the perforation of the gallbladder and the spilled off gallstones cause many problems as confirmed in recent studies. One of these complications is the gallstones cause intraabdominal adhesion formation. Studies confirmed that local increased inflammation get involved in the etiopathogenesis. Many agents like systemic antibiotics, hyaluronic acid, trimetazidine, pulmonary surfactants were examined to prevent intraabdominal adhesions and searched for other effects. In this study we examined the effects of ellagic acid on intraabdominal adhesions which is included in many fruits like raspberry, strawberry, walnut and pomegranate. As a result we had seen that gallstones dropped in abdomen were closed around with mesothelium, occasionally placed at the meso of the small intestines and caused dense adhesions and also in some of the reagents there was gato formation around the small intestines. It is noted that oral ellagic acid showed a visible decrease in adhesion formation and decreased the levels in all of the adhesion score systems. Key words: Gallstone, adhesion, ellagic acid.
