Abstract (EN)

Workplace violence is becoming a widespread and concerning phenomenon worldwide from day to day. Health institutions are at the top of the places where violence occurs. Healthcare workers are exposed to various levels of violence, from verbal and physical violence to psychosocial and sexual violence. There are reasons for violence against health workers caused by patients and their relatives, health workers, current laws, health systems, and health managers. Firstly, the real cause of the problem must be determined to develop new strategies to prevent this critical problem in our country. However, the solution to this problem in our country is not fully known. The studies in the literature generally focus on the unidimensionality of the problem, such as the patient or the health care worker. In this study, it was aimed to present new solutions to health managers and existing laws in line with the opinions of patients and health workers to reduce and/or eliminate violence against health workers. In this study, patients, health workers, and laws were evaluated together, and solutions were presented in a multidimensional way. The opinions of health workers and patients on the subject were obtained by online survey method and the data were analyzed statistically
