This work; It was conducted to determine the relationship between occupational health safety and work motivation of health workers working in Şanlıurfa Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital. The cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted with 1870 healthcare workers between 15.11.2019 and 16.03.2020. The data were collected with a questionnaire containing the characteristics of the employees and occupational health and safety information, and the Multidimensional Job Motivation Scale. Descriptive statistics, X² test, t tests (independent samples test, One-Way ANOVA) in independent groups were used in the analysis of the data. 45.7% of the participants were between the ages of 30-39, 51% were women, 76.7% were married, 40.4% were nurses, 36.9% had 6-10 years of professional work experience, % 47.1 of them have undergraduate or higher education. 39.6% of the participants worked in the less dangerous class; 99.6% of them stated that emergency plans were prepared at the workplace, 76.6% of them conducted fire fighting and evacuation drills in the workplace; 58.8% of them said that health examinations are carried out regularly, 37.8% of them use protective equipment frequently, 39.7% of them said that they have access to occupational health and safety legislation information through the Ministry of Labor and Social Security information meetings. There is a statistically significant relationship between health workers' absenteeism and regular health examinations and education. It was determined that the scores of the multidimensional work motivation scale and its subscales were higher in men than in women, and that they knew less about the rights and responsibilities of work in occupational health and safety. The scores of the multidimensional work motivation scale and six subscales differ among employees according to occupations. Applied and theoretical training on occupational health and safety should be increased and the occupational health safety and motivation of employees should be increased.
