Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of healthcare workers' psychological resilience levels on crisis management skills. This descriptive, cross-sectional study's population consisted of healthcare workers (n=550) working at Bayburt State Hospital between January and March 2025. The aim was to reach the entire population without selecting any sampling method, but due to reasons such as assignments, leave, and medical reports, the study was completed with 414 healthcare workers. The data of the study were obtained from the questionnaire, which consisted of the informed consent form developed by the researchers, sociodemographic characteristics, institutional, professional and social characteristics, health level questions, and the "Short Psychological Resilience Scale" and "Crisis Management Scale" questions, applied to the individuals under direct observation for approximately 20 minutes during their rest hours. Data were analyzed using frequency, mean, standard deviation, frequency, independent samples t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation analysis. The statistical significance level for all tests was set at 0.05. The healthcare workers included in the study were found to have moderate levels of psychological resilience and high levels of crisis management skills. Regular nutrition, rest, social life, and adequate sleep positively affected psychological resilience and crisis management, while long working hours, shift work, stress, and heavy workload had negative effects. In conclusion, success in crisis management depends on both organizational resources and individual psychological resilience. Crisis management training in healthcare institutions should be planned holistically, employee support strengthened, and programs enhancing psychological resilience expanded.
