Abstract (EN)
This study was methodologically designed to develop a measurement tool aimed at determining the migration tendency of healthcare workers. The scale development study consisted of two stages. In the first stage, scale items were created using the Delphi technique. In the second stage, scale reliability and validity studies were conducted. In the first phase of the study, the Delphi process was conducted with the participation of a total of 37 experts, including 20 immigrant health workers, 11 academics and 6 migration agents. The Delphi process was completed in a total of 3 rounds, and the participation percentage of experts in the sessions is respectively; it was seen as 100%, 91.89% and 70.27%. In the second stage, validity and reliability analyses were conducted with a total of 300 healthcare workers, including 181 nurses, 36 doctors, 34 academicians, 14 midwives, and 35 other healthcare professionals. In the validity and reliability study of the scale; descriptive statistical tests include number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and frequency distribution, test-retest analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, KMO and Barlett test, DFA, exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, structural first-level multifactor model relationship, goodness of fit of the model, and item correlation analysis. In the analysis, KMO value was found to be 0.94 and Bartlett value was found x2=8059.63 (P = 0.00). Upon examining the Cronbach's alpha coefficients for the sub-dimensions of the scale, it was found that the Migration Motivation sub-dimension had a value of 0.96, Migration Awareness had a value of 0.86, and Migration Preparedness had a value of 0.92 (p<0.05). As a result of the validity and reliability study, a valid and reliable scale consisting of a total of 26 items and a 5-point Likert type with three sub-dimensions as Migration Motivation, Migration Awareness and Migration Preparation was obtained.
