Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine the tendency of university students in the department of health in line with their future career planning towards health tourism and the factors affecting this tendency. The research was conducted with students studying in various faculties and vocational schools providing health education at Antalya Akdeniz University and Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University in the 2023-2024 academic year. In the first stage of the research, the relevant literature was comprehensively reviewed. In addition, in-depth information about the sector was obtained in interviews with sector experts. 45-question survey was prepared in light of this information. The first part of the survey form consists of 13 questions on socio-demographic variables. The second part of the survey form consists of 32 questions and these questions are formed with a 5-point Likert scale method. The survey was applied online to 6601 students who constitute the universe of the research. The obtained data were analyzed using the SPSS 24 program for statistical analysis. 831 surveys were analyzed in the research. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the participants' perceptions of health tourism had a 74% effect on their tendency to make a career in this sector. In addition, the average of tendency to make career in health tourism of the participants was 4.05 (I agree).
