Abstract (EN)

Health care-associated infections may occur during the treatment of the patient who is applying for health services to health care facilities. Health care-associated infections; the patient may cause additional health problems, loss of labor force, loss of life of the patient and different situations leading to increased treatment costs. Health care-related infections can be prevented by measures to be taken. The team work of the infection control team and the quality management in combating health care related infections is of great importance. Services, technology and human resources developed for health care related infections should be continuously improved in the field of health services. This system should be standardized with quality understanding and quality management. In this respect, programming, procedure development and studies show how important infectious diseases are in the area of health care. In this study; The importance, types, causes and precautions to be taken in order to protect against infection from the past to the present day are emphasized. It is of vital importance to carry out hygiene and individual care and sterilization of all units in the hospital. The infrastructure and architecture of hospitals should be made in accordance with health conditions. Each unit from the operating room to the kitchen, to the waste depot is of particular importance. It is another important issue that people working in health institutions are informed about the infection and educated.
