Abstract (EN)
Health facilities are facilities that provide the necessary health services to the society in three steps as preventive, curative and rehabilitative. Their most important aim is to provide health services in the required amount and at an equal level in times of need. And crisis is a situation or event that arises unexpectedly, creates time pressure, causes stress and panic in managers and employees, and may even hinder the survival of facilities. Health facilities are among the facilities that are likely to face any crisis at any time, and especially since March 2020, the concepts of crisis and crisis management have become more meaningful with the crisis created by the Covid-19 epidemic in health facilities in our country. Therefore, this study is important in terms of how health facilities should approach and what to do before, during and after the crisis. The aim of this study is to convey how the facilities should act in crisis situations, what should be done in order not to face a possible crisis situation with the understanding of the signals before the crisis occurs, and also to give information about what precautions the health facilities should take before the crisis, to indicate how the situation could be overcome with the least damage during the crisis and what an action plan is needed to turn the crisis into an opportunity, to provide information on what kind of a path should be followed and what should be considered in order for the facility to return to its former state or become stronger in the post-crisis period. The sample of this study, which has a cross-sectional, descriptive and inferential nature, has been selected via convenience sampling method. The data has been obtained with a crisis management questionnaire consisting of 10 questions and a crisis management scale consisting of 45 statements. Tarete population of the study consists of all directors of hospitals working in Şanlıurfa, and the sample consists of 36 people, including the head physician, 1 hospital manager, 1 assistant deputy physician and 1 director of hospital, working in these 9 hospitals. According to the general result of the study, it has been determined that the directors care about the crisis situations, they are prepared for crises and the situations before the crisis, they also make great efforts to get rid of the institution with the least damage during the crisis, and after the crisis they make general evaluations and do what is necessary to correct the deficiencies and mistakes.
