Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool that measures the attitude skill of "Health Literacy in Sports". A total of 630 volunteers aged 14 years and over participated in the study. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, item analysis, reliability and test-retest analyses were conducted to verify the structure of the targeted scale. As a result of the analyses, an 18-item data set with factor loadings between 0.38 and 0.87 and a 3-factor measurement tool with eigenvalues above 1 were obtained. These factors, which explained 56.82% of the total variance, consisted of Healthy Living Behavior and Nutrition (HLBN), Knowledge and Skills of First Aid in Sports (SKILLS) and Healthy Environment in Sports (HSE). The fit index values obtained in the confirmatory factor analysis results of the Health Literacy in Sport Scale were found to be in the adequate and acceptable range, the difference between the lower and upper group averages was significant, and the values of the item total correlation were found to be between 0.35 and 0.72. Statistical analyses of the study were conducted with SPSS 23 statistical package program and AMOS 24 program, T-Test and One Way ANOVA were used for the comparison of two and more than two groups, respectively, and p<0.05 was taken into consideration at the significance level of the differences. As a result of the study, it was determined that the Health Literacy in Sport scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool. It was observed that the participants' health literacy in sport attitude skill did not change according to income level, but those who exercise regularly are significantly more prominent in this skill than those who do not and those with a postgraduate education level are significantly more prominent than the others As a result of the study, it can be said that the scale of health literacy in sports is a measurement tool that can be used to evaluate and improve the awareness of the ability of sports or exercise to fulfill its function in improving the quality of life in a more effective way
