The characteristus of the communication between the health personnel-patients and elements influencing communications (Celal Bayar University health practice and study center)

The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristus of the communicationbetween the health personnel and patients and their relatives.Also, to point out thecommunication problems and to suggest solutions to the problems is our aim.CelalBayar University Hospital has been chosen as aplication place.Our study consist of five parts, in the first two sections, theoratical information isgiven.General communication information is included in the first section.Conceptualinformation concerning the communication, element and period of communication,kinds of communnication, elements preventing and influencing communication andcontradictions are related subjects in this section.In the second part, general structure of health services,the importance ofcommunication in health service, the process, health personnel and citizenscommunications and the determinning and assisting factors are included.In the third part of our study, we have included the aim and the importance of theresearch, the process, time, modelling, collecting,the data and its analysis.The fourth part contains such information as the findings and discussion as a result ofthe annalysis conducted in our study.Finding related with the two groups has beenshown with graphics, the aspects of the citizens and the health personnel agains eachother and general issues have been mentioned.Also, present characteristics of thehealth personnel working in the hospital and the ideal features which a healthpersonnel should have are included.In the last of our study, there are the results and suggestions related to our research.With this study, we have pointed out the comminication problems in the healthservices, the reasons for these problems, the expectations and the solutions to theseproblems.Realizing the importance of communication in the health services and taking actionis essential.Key Words: Communication, health personnel , patient, communication problems
