Abstract (EN)
Reducing the negative effects of disasters is possible by successful disaster management and increasing society's awareness of disasters. This research was conducted to evaluate the disaster awareness and attitudes of healthcare personnel working in Diyarbakır province. The population of the cross-sectional and descriptive study consists of healthcare personnel working in Diyarbakır. The sample of the research consists of 284 healthcare personnel who participated voluntarily through random sampling method. Scale forms were applied to the research group by the researcher via the online method. As a data collection form in the study, a personal information form prepared by the researcher to obtain the demographic characteristics of individuals (gender, age, marital status, exposure to disaster, receiving disaster training, receiving first aid training, "Do you have a disaster and emergency kit in your home?", In addition to "Do you have a personal or family disaster plan?", disaster information source), the 3-dimensional Disaster Attitude Scale (ATÖ) developed by Türkan and Kılıç (2017) was used. In the statistical analysis of the data, "Independent Sample T-Test" and "One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)" were used. "Post-Hoc" test was applied to determine between which groups the significant differences occurred in the "One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)" tests. Since the data were homogeneous and the number of samples was not equal, "Scheffe" tests were applied. In this research, it was determined that the general attitude of healthcare personnel working in Diyarbakır towards disasters was above the medium level.
