The relationship of paternalist leadership and leader-members exchange in the health sector

In this study, it is aimed to determine the relationship between paternalistic leadership and leader-member interaction in the health sector. For this purpose, the targeted data were collected with a questionnaire consisting of "Paternalist Leadership Scale", "Leader-Member Interaction Scale" and demographic questions. The universe of the research consists of people working in health institutions operating in Balıkesir and its region. It constitutes a sample of 477 questionnaires obtained from the relevant health institutions. Exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, frequency analysis, KMO-Bartlett's analysis, normality test, correlation analysis and regression analysis were performed with the obtained data. According to the results of the correlation analysis, it was seen that there is a significant relationship between the paternalist leadership and the leader-member interaction. According to the results of the regression analysis, it was seen that paternalist leadership had a significant effect on the leader-member interaction.
