Evaluation of the healthcare managers' views on health service financing and providing

The aim of the research is to survey the awareness of the healthcare mangers after the changes in the regulations and practice, which have come out as a result of the reforms, and to evaluate the healthcare managers? views on health service financing and providing.The research includes the last reforms in Healthcare Sector like Transformation in Healtcare, Social Security and General Health Insurance, and the substructure of Healtcare Service Finance. The Population is the top managers in the hospitals connected to the Ministry of Health in Ankara, and private hospitals. During the field process, the top managers of the hospitals were performed surveys. The research had purposed all the top managers in Ankara, but only the reults of surveys of the top managers who accepted the negotiation, were evaluated. Sample was not used in the research.In the research, the demographic feautures of the top managers in the hospitals connected to the Ministry of Health in Ankara, and private hospitals, the knowledge level of finance, the knowledge level of making the Healthcare Service Management more powerful, the knowledge level of Transformation in Healthcare studies and the knowledge level of the studies on Social Security and General Health Insurance, were questioned.It is expected that healthcare managers should have high knowledge about the reforms to execute the reform studies more effectively and to get results. When the results of the studies were taken into account, it was found that healthcare managers had a little or little knowledge on Healtcare Service Finance, Transformation in Healtcare Project, Social Security and General Health Insurance. After the research, it was found that the managers having education on finance had more knowledge and were more concious. Then, it could be concluded that having education on management or healthcare management make the managers more sensitive and concious. Even though it is not so much important which depertmant the mangers graduate from, it is thougt that the mastering field and the mastering field in the reform studies raise the awareness of the managers.Key Words: Transformation in Healtcare, General Health Insurance, Social Security and General Health Insurance, Healtcare Service Finance, Awareness.
