Abstract (EN)

In this study, the genotoxic effect of metal salt complexes (1, 0,50 ve 0,25 µg/ml) which have the same ligands that are called [ZnL](ClO4)2, [NiL](ClO4)2, [CuL](ClO4)2, [CdL](ClO4)2, [CoL](ClO4)2 were investigated with CBMN (cytokinesis-blocked micronucleus), SCE (sister chromatid exchange) and CA (chromosome aberration) techniques on human peripheral lymphocytes in vitro. Cells as a result of treatment time of test materials to human lymphocytes of 24 and 48 hours; were examined with regard to micronucleus generation, sister chromatid exchange and chromosomal aberrations and rates of CPI, RI and MI were shown. Taking cognizance of practised cytogenetic test methods, [ZnL](ClO4)2 material with treatment time of 24 and 48 hours was shown to have a significantly mutagenic effect depending on MN, SCE and dose of CA tests and it was found that [NiL](ClO4)2 material shows the same results with any three tests. [CuL](ClO4)2 materials had a mutagenic effect on MN and SCE tests and not affective on CA generation. It was approved that [CoL](ClO4)2 and [CdL](ClO4)2 materials are not effective on MN test, have a poor effect on CA test, has lower genotoxicity in test constituent parts with a genotoxic effective with some doses. Furthermore, entire test materials with regard to decrease, so far as negative control in the values of CPI, RI and MI were also negatively affected on cell division parameters.Key Words:Genotoxicity, CBMN, SCE, CA, , Human Lymphocytes
