Abstract (EN)
The Westernization movement, which started in the Tanzimat period, caused some changes and developments in the field of literature. Some artists have introduced new products in Western style. However, some of the artists based on the tradition of Classical Turkish Literature continued to write works in classical style in order to maintain the tradition of literature that was tried to be left in the past. Especially those who think that the prosody meter is more rooted and more harmonious than the Western style, these artists wrote works that describe this verse. In this thesis, we aimed to introduce the work called Sahbâ-yı Mükerrem, which was organized in a style appropriate to the divan tradition in the Tanzimat period. In addition to this, we added the other aruzal treaties written in the Tanzimat period to our study. Key Words: Sahbâ-yı Mükerrem, Şükrü Bey, Tanzimat Period, Aruz.
