Historical development of the understanding of authentic recitation

The sccience of recitation is the science that deals with the reading quality of the Quran. When we look at the science of recitation and the classifications of recitations, we come across an important concept, Sahih recitation. In the period we call the period of revelation, Hz. Prophet transmitted the Quran as it was revealed from the Prophet Gabriel throughout the Mecca-Medina period and taught it personally. For its preservation, it was first preserved in the mind through memorization and then through writing. This is how the authentic recitation of the Nuzul period was preserved. During the period of the Companions, the recitation of the Quran was made by Hz. The companions, who personally received it from the Prophet, preserved it in the same way and took the necessary precautions through collective copying activities. In the period of Tabi'in and Etbe-i Tabi'in, with the codification of the science of recitation and the formation of recitation imams, the concept that we call authentic recitation found its place. By creating certain criteria and limiting the number of recitations, the authentic recitations were separated from their original counterparts.
