Abstract (EN)
Human, as a researcher and questioning creature, has always been utterly curious about Afterlife and its phases. In this thesis, the subject of Afterlife and its phases, which is always in people?s agenda, is studied within the ideas of Bediüzzaman and Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır. By considering the subject with respect to Islamic theology, the life of the human beings after death is dealt with at length. Additionally, various descriptions of the writers are emphasized in a detailed way in order to make the ideas about the subject clear.This research Said Nursi and Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır?ın Understanding of Arterworld consists of one introduction, three development and one conclusion parts. In the introduction part, information about the subject, importance and method of the research is provided. In the first development part, the concept of Afterlife, along with its dictionary and terminology meaning, and the phases of Afterlife are covered by scanning through the relevant works. In the second development part, thoughts of Bediüzzaman Said Nursi and Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır about the Afterlife are presented in terms of Islamic theology. Finally, in the third development part, the ideas of those two writers are discussed in a comparative manner.In the conclusion part, the ideas of the writers about the subject are evaluated
