Abstract (EN)

Said Nursi was one of the important figures of the scientific and intellectual world of the 20th century. He influenced the Islamic world with his thoughts and works. In this study, it is tried to put forward his views about "hashir", that is post-mortem resurrection. Our study consists of an introduction and two main sections. In the introduction part, the basic concepts of the issue are discussed. In this section, the complexity of Said Nursi's unique method and style is highlighted. In this chapter, the possibility of hashir is discussed with intellectual and transport evidences. It has been tried to determine how the rational and transport evidences are used by Said Nursi in his own way. In the second part, Said Nursi's views on the nature of hashir and how it would take place have been tried to be determined. In this context, it has been tried to determine his views on how hashir will be. Said Nursi presented books and evidence from the sunnah that the hashir would accrue in particular, he states that the universe is full of clear evidence that it will be hashir. Said Nursi, while trying to prove the resurrection after death, he dealed the issue with own method without Ahl al-Sunnah discourse. Particularly, he only tried to strength the intellectual and transport evidences of hashir without entering into the discussions of threat which was in tradition. According to Said Nursi's idea of hashir which was a result of the idea of the immortality of the soul, hashir will be with the union of soul and body. Therefore, he argues that the soul would be returned to a body after death. Said Nursi does not give details about the nature of this body. He focused more on the presence of hashir. He argued that resurrection would take place not only spiritually but also in the union of both spirit and body. Key Words: Kalam, Hashir, Hereafter, Resurrection, Said Nursi
