Magazines of Şair, Büyük Mecmua, and Güneş: Analysing, detailed cantent, and selected texts

In this study aimed at reading, analysing the magazines of Şair, Büyük Mecmua, Güneş and submitting them to the use of researches, which are supposed to be important for the History of Turkish Culture and Literature, those magazines have been introduced and their detail content sorted out. As can be understood from the content, it is also possible to encounter the writings of some other eminent writers such as Cenap Şehâbettin, Abdülhak Hâmit and Nazım Hikmet besides the leading figures of National Literature like Ömer Seyfettin, Ali Canip, Mehmet Emin, and Ziya Gökalp. In another chapter, articles and other literary kinds are listed according to both the writer and name of work so that readers are provided with the knowledge that they could easily realize which writers and works of literature are available. With language analysis based on the passages selected from the writings in the magazines, a simplification in written English between 1918 - 1919 and 1927 has been noticed and realized that spoken Turkish began to have the form of written language. The roots of 8020 words selected from the passages have been found out and the results achieved have been shown with graphics. In addition, the propositional of noun phrases, in Arabic and Persian, which is considered important in terms of simplifying Turkish, have been tried to be determined through selected texts. The 287 poems in those magazines have been reviewed in terms of metre, rhyme, poetry forms, theme and the outcomes shown with tables. In the last chapter, high proportional literary texts selected from each of the three magazines have been translated into Latin oriented Turkish alphabet. While translating them into today's alphabet, the original passages are carefully reserved and applied, mistakes concerning definition and spelling have been shown with their original forms. These passages are in the form of poem, narration, theatre, conversation and article and are supposed to be writings that could reflect the world of literature and opinion of the era in which they were published.
