The analysis of word grroups in Sait Faik Abasiyanik?s ?Az Şekerli? and evaluation of it in terms of Turkish teaching.

This study includes the analyses of the word groups in Sait Faik Abasıyanık?sstories Müthiş Bir Tren,Bir Aşk Hikâyesi, Gümüş Saat, Fındık, Az Şekerli,Battaniye, G?, Hikâye Peşinde ve Kalinikhta in ?Az Şekerli?In this study, it is given priority to define one of the word groups which is in the position of an element of the sentence. And latterly, if found in these defined word groups, sub-word groups are defined and indicated under the related title.While constructing this study, the word groups in Turkish are titled in five main groups as noun groups, adjective groups, adverb groups, verb groups, groups, and conjunction groups.In the process of expression, the group which takes the role of noun is called as noun group.In itself, the noun groups are examined under the titles of possessive ?construction?s, adjective ?construction?s, proper noun groups, title groups, noun groups with case affix, , infinitive groups, participle groups that are used as noun in the sentence and reduplications which are used in the sentence as the function of noun.Adjective groups are word groups which form the stated groups of adjective constructions by doing the duty of qualificative and determinative in the process of expression.This part is analyzed under the titles of adjective groups that are formed as adjective constructions with taking adjective derivational affix, possesive adjective groups, possessive adjective groups, adjective consruction with case affix,adjective groups that are formed by addited numeral group, adjective groups in the form of participle subordinate clause.Adverbial groups are defined as the ones that are used before the adjectives; stated by verb and verbalia and affect their meaning.In our study, these groups are analyzed under the titles of preposition groups, gerund subordinate clause.Verb groups are analyzed under the titles of verb groups that are formed as noun +finite auxiliary verb,verb groups that are formed as participle + finite auxiliary verb, groups that are established with the ?ip? affix of durative verbs that are formed as gerund + finite auxiliary verb and the clichêd verb groups in the form phrase.Conjunction groups and eclamation groups are explained in the last part of the study.Classification and definition are made by considering the page numbers and the lines.In the study, sentence unity is of high importance.The pages or the lines which the groups are used stated in quotation marks at the end of the sentences and groups.But we didn?t indicate in which story they take place.The study is prepared due to the reliance on the tenth publish in 2001 by Bilgi Publishing. All the analyzed stories, as the copies taken from this publish, are given after the conclusion part.
