Abstract (EN)
Noise is an important environmental problem for our lives which should be considered as much as any other environmental pollution. There are many sources of noise both indoors and outdoors. Not controlling or ignoring noise pollution may lead our daily lives to a continuous discomfort. As a result this will reduce the quality of life by causing many health problems which may occur in a short or long term, continuously or momentarily. The first step in controlling of noise pollution is the determination of the problem, ie the creation of noise maps. The creation of noise maps; enables the determination of noise levels in the selected region, observing whether the legal limits have been violated, how much exposure is exceeded in case of exceeding the limit values, evaluating the situation and taking measures. The main purpose of this study, which was carried out to create the noise maps of the area where Sakarya University Education Research and Sakarya University Obstetrics and Children's Hospital is located, is to determine the effects of this type of pollution which is not taken seriously as an air, water and soil pollution also to evaluate the effects of noise pollution in very sensitive areas. The reason for choosing this region as the study area; in the region, the patient care, administrative, social and residential buildings used together. All these buildings are considered to be "very sensitive to noise" in the regulation. It is necessary to determine whether the highways around the working area have a negative impact on hospital buildings and to create noise maps in order to take measures if necessary. For this purpose, grid noise maps have been created with the help of the SoundPLAN sostware of the region. Noise pollution was found to the front and side of Sakarya University Obstetrics and Children's Hospital Building. It was seen that noise can be reduced by 3-5 dB with noise curtains designed on these facades. When the noise maps are taken into consideration, it is seen that the current regulation limits are slightly violated. Action plans were proposed in the region by predicting the increase in noise pollution, increasing traffic, population density and the operation of the hospital which is not in operation at the moment.
