The city of Sakarya, Geyve county, Safibey Village, plot 49, parcel 2437, civil architecture building (Ahmet Oztürk House) restoration project

Within the research, civil architecture building located in 49 plot and 2437 parcel in Safibey Village, in the district of Geyve, in Sakarya is studied along with the other buildings in the village. The original plan scheme of the buildings are learned from the owners of them. Then, 1/1000 scale site plan and the plans and front elevation of the buildings are drawn in 1/200 scale according to these data. Plan sketchs are made for the drawings of closets, doors and windows by taking measurements by hand. According to the measurements taken, 1/20 and 1/5 scaled drawings are produced. Site plan is prepared in 1/500 scale, and plans, sections and elevations of the building are prepared by drawing the sketches and taking survey by using total station in 1/50 scale wherever possible. When it is possible hand measurements were taken. Legends are prapared according to the materials used and the damages seen in the building then, the analysis in respect of them are prepared.The restitution drawings of Ahmet Öztürk house are prepared by discussing the outputs of typology study and other information reached. These drawings consists of site plan, floor plans, sections and elevations. After completing the restitution drawings, restoration drawings are prepared according to the data reached. In the drawings; site plan, plans, sections and elevations with details are seen. Analysis of intervention is prepared by determining the protection principles and interventions for new usage of the building. The aim of this thesis is to hand down this civil architecture example to the next generations, preventing the building from getting damaged more by preparing the restoration project.
