Abstract (EN)
In this study, the accumulation level of zinc, copper, lead and cadmium in liver, muscle and gill tissues of Capoeta tinca (Heckel, 1843) living in Çeltikçe Stream, which is an important branch of Sakarya River were investigated. According to the results of analysis derived through atomic absorption spectrometry, it is confirmed that heavy metals accumulate in different tissues and variations of metal accumulation depend on body weight. Amount of metal accumulation in liver, muscle and gill are as follows: Zn>Pb>Cu>Cd. Zinc, copper, lead and cadmium levels in Capoeta tinca from Çeltikçe Stream were determined to be higher than the permitted limits.
