Özet (EN)

This study is concerned with the accumulation of heavy metals such as Zn, Cd,Pb, Cu in livers, muscle and gills of Leuciscus cephalus (L., 1758) living inÇeltikçi stream, one of the important branches of Sakarya river. The heavymetals accumulated in the tissues were determined with the use of AnodicStripping Voltammetry (ASV). The correlation values were computed in orderto determine the relation between the heavy metal accumulation and bodyweights of the samples. The significance levels of heavy metal accumulation inthe tissues were defined with t test. The highest accumulation of Zn, Cd and Pbwas observed in liver (with 98.5000, 4.5354 and 38.9649 ppm respectively) whilethe highest accumulation of Cu was observed in muscles with 6.0330 ppm. Itwas observed there was a positive correlation between the body weight and theaccumulated amounts of Zn, Cd and Cu in muscles and a negative correlationbetween the body weight and the accumulated amount of Pb in muscles. It wasobserved that there was a positive relation between the body weight and theamounts of Zn, Cd and Pb accumulated in liver and gills.
