Abstract (EN)
This research was carried out for the purpose of determining the non-mental factors which affect the dispersion of students of Sakarya Univesity on the faculties.In this respect, research universe is composed of the first grade students in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences,Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Art and Science, Faculty of Technical Education and Faculty of Education which gives four years education bounded to Sakarya University. According to numbers of December,2007;The number of registered students is 3663.The number of samples dispersed compared to the ratio of faculties, departments and curriculum (First and Second Instruction)Questionnaries were delivered to 1500 students of the faculties that are brought to the extension of the research.However, 1200 of these were brought back and 1000 of these were evaluated. Determining the meaningfulness of the relationship between socio economic factors and dispersing in the university;Diagonial tables in SPSS 10,0 For Windows Package Program and Chi-Square statistic were used.In this research,while the huge number of students except for Faculty of Art And Sciences students are male, the majority is composed of female students in the Faculty of Art And Sciences. It was concluded that the ratio of students born in big cities is higher than the ratio of students born in villages.It was also concluded that when the students in 2nd instruction were compared to the students in 1st ınstruction, students of 2nd instruction come from 5-6-member-families in the higher ratio.In the students? dispersion of faculties according to curriculum, it was seen that the ratio of vocational high school students attending 2nd instruction is higher. Also, students who earn their monthly needs in 2nd instruction are more than those in 1st instruction.However, no relationship between the other socio-economic factors and the dispersion of the students according to curriculum was seen. Sex, place of birth, parents? level of education and region that the family live are more effective, compared to other factors.Findings of this study display the current situation of the university students? dispersion on the faculties according to factors which are not mental and offer a solution for eliminating of inequalities in the education.Keywords : The student dispersion of Sakarya Univesity, Inequalities In The Education,NonmentalFactors.
