Investigation of body compositions and recreative choices of academic and administrative personnel of Sakarya University

Aim of this thesis study is investigation of Body Compositions and RecreativeChoices of Academic and Administrative Personnel of Sakarya University. A `?BodyComposition Monitor?? tool is used to analyze body composition of participants anda survey that passed validation and reliability test. SPSS package software is used tosort and resolve the data. Problem and sub-problems of the investigation consideredwhile applying descriptive (figurative) statistics and Chi-Square Tests. Asym.Significance value considered and taken into account as p=<0,05. Reliability of thesurvey study is calculated as 83,3 %.Significant relations discovered due to the survey data analysis. Survey participantsare expecting the University to deal with their problems about recreative and sportsactivities. One of the most important problem of the academicians seen as the timeproblem because of the intensive education activities. Administrative personnel?smost important problem is seen as the time they spend with their family. On theother hand economic matters are also significant. Bills of special facilities are a hugeproblem between people and recreative activities. In general University personnelexpect their University to build up new sports and recreative activity facilities.Furthermore there is a major lack of knowledge on the benefits of sports andrecreation. Taking all the findings into consideration along with previous studies,results presented and suggestions are made.
