Abstract (EN)
Greenhouse vegetable cultivation in Hatay province has an important place in vegetable cultivation in our country. However, there is a lot of lack of information about irrigation programme, especially under cover cultivation. For this reason, irrigation programs are needed for plant production systems in the region. In this study, the most suitable irrigation program was determined by examining the effects of irrigation water levels and irrigation intervals on plant growth, yield and fruit quality. In the study, for the irrigation program of pepper (Capsicum annuum) grown in the solar polietilen covered greenhouse, four irrigation water amount (S60=0.60, S80=0.80, S100=1.00 and S120=1.20 Epan) and three irrigation intervals (SA20=20±2, SA35=35±2 and SA50=50±2 mm) were applied depending on the evaporation amounts of Class A evaporation pan in the greenhouse. In addition, the relationship between the mini evaporation pans and the standard A-class evaporation pan is determined and it is intended to use a simple and inexpensive evaporation vessel for irrigation programming. In the study, water consumption (ET), water use efficiency (WUE) and irrigation water usage efficiency (IWUE) were calculated and the most suitable irrigation water amount and irrigation time were determined in greenhouse pepper cultivation. The amount of irrigation water applied in the experimental conditions varied between 368 mm in S60 treatment and 736 mm in S120 treatment. Plant water consumption changed between 470±2 mm in S60 treatment and 819±7 mm in S120 treatment. The marketable yield values ranged from 5.48 kg m-2 to 8.28 kg m-2. As the amount of applied irrigation water and irrigation intervals increased, WUE and IWUE values decreased.
