In the context of Shamanist philosophy of life interpretation of the concept of four elements with ceramic applications

In this thesis study, the concept of four elements, which are considered the essence of life, and their movement in nature are evaluated from a Shamanistic perspective. Therefore, in the artistic evaluation phase of the work, the four elements and their movements were examined and an identification process based on animist philosophy was passed. During the study process, separate literature research was conducted on the concept of four elements and the Shamanic philosophy of life. The data obtained were synthesized in theory in accordance with the title and content, and were used in practice to express the formation and intellectual dimension of the form in terms of content-form relationship as an artistic and aesthetic value. While making the artistic evaluation of the thesis work, it was made by taking into account that it was completely from nature, both in terms of content and in terms of the art objects chosen in practice and the materials used, in terms of integrity. The thesis consists of six chapters. First part; There are previous close studies on the problem and rationale, purpose, importance, method and subject. In the second part; An etymological and historical overview of the belief in Shamanism, general information on the philosophy of life, the four elements for the Shamanic society and the concept of nature are given. As subheading; The conceptual existence process and movement of the four elements and the approaches of different disciplines to the concept of the four elements are discussed. In the third part of the study; Conceptual explanations have been made to evaluate the Shamanist philosophy in the artistic production process by making sense of it intellectually and conceptually, in line with today's possibilities and technological developments, and associating the four elements and their movements with Shamanistic philosophy. In this context, the subject heading is; Animist approach, energy, frequency, vibration, aura concepts and identification concepts were examined theoretically. Fourth part; It was created with selections from contemporary art works related to the four elements and the Shamanist approach. The fifth chapter consists of the pre-firing and second-firing post-firing images of the thesis application studies. The sixth part is; It consists of an opinion statement about the contribution of the thesis study to the literature, both theoretically, in practical terms, and artistically, at the end of the process.
