Shamanism and shaman healing

Shamanism is one of the ancient belief of Turks that still have not completed the term. Religious rituals, sacred places, accessories and many other symbols compose an extensive belief pattern. Shamanism, however, does not have only the religious aspect. With this thesis, it is aimed to make the bond between medicine and religion visible by give prominance healing power which inherent in Shamanism. For this study, cross-reading was done by examined the sources that are written about shamanism. In addition, medical texts of Central Asia and healing methods that in shaman rituals are carefully examined and shaman healing was tried to be revealed.
