Abstract (EN)
The subject of the thesis is on the Mansion of Kitaplı Konağı, one of the examplesof the traditional house in Samsun, Alaçam. The aim of the study is the researchof the proper function for the conservation of the building and accomplishment ofit to the future generations by analysing the existing condition and the restorationpossibilities. In the scope of the thesis, Alaçam and nearby environment of `TheMansion?, as well as current?s condition is investigated by the comparative studyand historical analysis. While evaluating results and taking the peculiarities of theregion in the consideration, the proper function for the building is determinedand as a result, a restoration project is proposed.Key Words : Samsun, Alaçam, Kitaplı Mansion, Restoration.
