Applying vocal technique criteria in traditional Turkish music

The main purpose of this thesis to indicate the problems and mistakes in vocal performance of Turkish Music and therefore to expose the importance and content of voice lessons given in Turkish Music State Conservatories which are the interlocutor and solution of these problems and mistakes. By indicating the ongoing wrongs by Turkish music performers by avoiding the scientific techniques or not doing the rights need to be done as a educated professional singer with concern of corrupting the conventionality, strongly would like to emphasize that Turkish music state conservatories are the solution point without any doubt about this subject where are the institutions on-site of the universities. Therefore as a member and an active instructor of Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory, I tried to explain this subject by observations, experiences, difficutlties and problems came across and by personal and domestic or international specialists's knowledges and works. I must indicate very clearly that singing is a physical use of human biology and the use of this phisyology has been scientificly explained. And no more is possible to avoid or search a solution out of these scientific thruts. Finally I would like to specify that Turkish Music State Conservatories which are the academic study points as a part of universities, are the institution where is not possible to aviod the scientific facts yet can study science and tradition together without corrupting the conventionality which is an obligation.
