Abstract (EN)
Technological developments have been effective in many areas. Virtual reality (VR) technology is also one of these areas and has become a popular leisure activity in entertainment areas. Therefore, the effects on human beings have been the subject of research in scientific fields. In this case, interest and curiosity in virtual reality technology have increased. According to early observations, marketing research has paid limited attention to motivations toward virtual reality games. In this study, qualitative research has been done on this subject. In-depth interviews were conducted with the participants of the research and the thematic coding analysis was performed. The results revealed the following themes: immersion, physical interaction, enjoyment and communication based on enjoyment, intelligence development, personal gains and experience negativity related to virtual reality game experiences. As a result, virtual reality games can help the player to satisfy his mental, physical and spiritual needs. People need VR games because of the problems in social life, low physical activities, and the increase in mental fatigue.
