Abstract (EN)

The holistic thought approach, which is becoming more and more popular in today's world -that is described as "Post Epistemological Age"- means to be able to think about the dynamic evolution of the universe in terms of part-whole/whole-part relation with its most general definition. This approach not only creates a framework of interdisciplinary alignment for the mind but also creates a strong reference point for each existing unit in order to interact. And it can be said that today, the holistic thought approach falls well with the destiny of our planet in the general universal plan. Because, it is defined as "the period of network partnership" with a single sentence where the age we live in. The holistic approach first emerged in the art world in the 19th century, with the "Gesamtkunstwerk" theorem that aiming at the integrity of the arts by Richard Wagner. In the following periods, many artists tried to remove the boundaries between art and life practices by using a holistic approach in their production. After a while, the changing artefacts on the axis of art-life practice reflected on the activities of art education. In this context, the skeleton of the research is about the effects of the holistic approach to art and art education. In addition to this, research has been investigated in the frame of "Semiha Berksoy Bedroom Installation" which is one of the rare examples in the world which is defined as "Memory Room" and represents the holistic approach in art education. Keywords: Art education, Holistic approach, Holistic art, Interdisciplinary, Installation.
