The role of art museums in shaping aesthetic judgment of society

Art museums are the places where the aesthetic anxiety and expectation are at the highest stages before being visited within the museum types. The concept of aesthetics is the two concepts which are frequently mentioned in the historical process. In art museums, art lovers who relate to art through art work take these two concepts to their agenda in line with their aesthetic experience. Parallel to these two concepts, an aesthetic sense of aesthetics emerges from the individual to the society. The meeting of individuals with such an aesthetic approach in art museums and art works creates new extensions in the aesthetic context. The thesis examines the concepts of art and aesthetics under the name of art museums and examines these extensions in the context of individual and art work. The idea that art museums can meet the aesthetic criteria of individual aesthetics, develop and shape them, and may even assume a significant role in the determination of the future aesthetic judgments, is the prominent point of the study. While research, on the one hand, puts forward ideas about how the aesthetic judgments of the visitors can be developed and shaped in art museums, on the other hand, in the light of examinations and important inferences, it shows with examples how an aesthetic judgment in art museums is affected by some factors. In the framework of these factors which affect the formation of the aesthetic judiciary in the research, the sides of the aesthetic judiciary extending from the individual to the society were emphasized. In the light of the research, an aesthetic development phase extending from the special to the general is determined. This determination; an aesthetic judicial development process involving the art museum, artwork and the individual has emerged. The research tried to determine the development direction of the aesthetic judiciary in the individual by processing this aesthetic judgment development process. In the axis of aesthetic judgment; The art museum, artwork and individual researches have reached some conclusions. The results are that aesthetic judgment is shaped by more than one factor. Determining the potential effects of these factors on the individual and the potential of the society is the focus of the research.
