Abstract (EN)

In today's competitive environment, to determine the waste points in the production process and to minimize the losses has become necessary to reduce the costs for the producers. Losses and waste reduction efforts are studies that must be carried out in a systematic approach as well as continuous work. Many businesses are implementing different systems to reduce costs and increase productivity in competitive market conditions. Lean Manufacturing System is a concept that is more widely heard in recent years in applications for increasing productivity in production processes. In this study, the lean production techniques were studied on firm basis and the defective aspects of the production processes of the factories were determined, in addition field based solution proposals were developed for process improvement which increase their costs and thus limit their competitiveness. In this manner, in order to reach the new term production and capacity targets of the companies, action lists were prepared without additional investment or with minimum additional investments, at the same time during production the waste points were tried to be removed. In the study along with determining value for lean production, principles and techniques have been applied such as; Value Stream Mapping, 5S, SMED, Stream-Based Layout, Skill Matrix, Root Cause Analysis, ECRS-Value Added Analysis, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Kaizen applications and Process Combination applications which allows us to easily see the wastes in the production processes of three different companies that produce in three different sectors. With the results obtained, it has been ensured that the lean production system reduces the wastage and losses in the production processes of the firms and enables to see the efficiency of the increase in productivity.
