The evaluation of Ankara Ostim medical industry in the industry cluster approach

Consisting of worldwide economic crisis, due to restructurings in many sizes since the 1970s, which has resulted the formation of production complexes that tends to cluster in the geographic area, more than economic agglomerations. Clusters in our country, which began to be in Europe in the 1980s, the 1990s began to be seen.The competitive potential of our country, especially in the sectors of medical instruments and devices sector in recent years show a rapid acceleration and to increase the level of competition is remarkable. For this reason, only the capital, Ankara, Turkey, and the Medical Industry Cluster OSTIM working in this sector was chosen as a sample.The aim of this thesis is to determine our country at what stage in the life cycle of clustering by comparing in the medical instruments and devices operating in the industrial clusters in EU countries where the industrial clusters and Turkey and the Cluster of OSTIM Medical Industry and our country. Therefore, the EU countries and also specializes in medical devices and instruments industry cluster samples were evaluated. However, clusters in the world located on the cluster there is only the specialized medical apparatus and instruments industry. Unlike in the pharmaceutical industry and biomedical research in the field of production and the clusters were found. For this reason, most specializing in industrial countries (Italy, France and Germany) by examining these countries in the conformational states of clusters and cluster policies and programs in the countries studied.
