Abstract (EN)

The development of technology in the 21st century and the observation of these effects more clearly show that the consumption of cement used in concrete, as well as its production, poses a health and environmental problem. About 6 percent of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide is produced by cement production, and the main output products from cement production are; heavy metals, sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, dust and particulate matter. For these reasons, the interest in the use of waste and more environmentally friendly products in concrete production has increased, and research on the use of alternative products, such as industrial wastes, pozzolans, mines, whose engineering properties are as good or acceptably close as conventional concrete, has gained day by day. In this study, the effects of micronized calcite obtained from Niğde region and ferrochrome slag obtained from Elazığ ferrochrome plants on crushed sand and waste tire aggregate cement mortars were investigated. The water/binder ratio, binder amount, and chemical additive addition were kept constant in the produced mixtures. Elazığ ferrochrome slag and micronized calcite cement were substituted for 10%, 15% and 20% both together and separately. Instead of aggregate, a total of 39 mixtures were prepared by replacing 0%, 10% and 20% of waste polyurethane aggregate by volume. The prepared mixtures were exposed to different curing performances (water-air) for 7 and 28 days. Unit volume weight values were calculated in fresh mortar, unit volume weight, ultrasound transmission velocity, pressure height, bending tendency were calculated on hardened mortar samples, and elastic modulus values were calculated and SEM-EDS analyzes were performed.
