Sungur CİVELEK This study aimed to investigate some characteristics of Agromyzidae (Diptera) species such as distribution, host plants, damaging ways and parasitoids in cultivated and non-cultivated areas of Şanlıurfa in 1999-2001 period. Agromyzidae species were collected from both cultivated and non- cultivated areas at different altidudes of Şanlıurfa. The adults of leafminers were captured by sweepnetting from the fields and infested leaves rearing from in the laboratory. The results, indicated that there were 6 species belonging to 3 genus of subfamily of Agromyzinae and 14 species belonging to 6 genus of subfamily of Phytomyzinae. Thus, 20 species of leafminers were detected in this study. The species; belonging of subfamily of Agromyzinae, Agromyza albipennis Meigen, 1830, Melanagromyza vignalis Spencer, 1959 and belonging of subfamily of Phytomyzinae, Liriomyza hieracivora Spencer, 1971, Ps. atra (Meigen, 1830), Ps. spicata (Malloch, 1914), Ps. spinosa Spencer, 1973, Phytomyza chelonei Spencer, 1 969 were new records for the Turkish Agromyzidae fauna. The most widespreading species were Liriomyza trifolii (Burgess) and Chromatomyia hordeola Goureau. On the other hand, 26 parasitoids species were also detected. Among them, Diglyphus isaea Walker and D. minoeus Walker of Eulophidae (Hymenoptera) were the most widespreading species.
