Systematic of noctuidae species from Şanlıurfa (Turkey) province

85 SUMMARY Sistematics of Noctuidae species from Şanlıurfa (Turkey) province In this study, the Noctuidae (Lepidoptera) fauna of Şanlıurfa in GAP was investigated. Samples were collected during September 1994-October 1995 from light traps in Şanlıurfa (Centre), Birecik, Bozova, Akçakale, Suruç and Yardımcı. As a result 47 species belonging to 40 genus, 12 subfamilies from the Noctuidae were determined in Şanlıurfa. These were nine species from Noctuinae, seven species from Hadeninae, two species from Acronictinae, three species from Cuculliinae, nine species from Amphipyrinae, three species from Heliothinae, one species from Acontiinae, one species from Chloephorinae, five species from Plusiinae, two species from Catocalinae, four species from Ophiderinae and one species from Hypeninae. The synonyms, description, distribution, host plants, location, date of collection and the total number of the specimens belong to the species were given.
