Abstract (EN)
The word means harsh and rough. It is also called chanting, yelling and shouting. Since the octave is read from the voices, it is read out loud with the whole breath. It is observed that hoyrat, which has an important place in Şanlıurfa music, is widely sung in the eastern part of the country, generally in Urfa, Diyarbakır, Kirkuk and Elazığ. The melodies sung in the long air format (irticalen) with the pun of mania, which is the product of folk literature, are called hoyrat. One of the most distinctive features that makes Hoyrat different from mania is that it is always punned. The word meaning of the pun is the literary form of the word spoken at the beginning and the word spoken at the end. Reading manias with puns in long air format shows that he distinguishes between rough and mania. It has been observed that the roughness performed in Şanlıurfa music generally starts with high pitched pitches and ends with low voices. Therefore, since the vocal range is wide, it makes it very difficult to perform. Although it is known in our sources that there are rudeness in various makams, it is generally seen that there are more rudeness in the series of "Hicaz", "Uşşak", "Hüseyni" and "Segah" makams. Hoyrats are frequently seen in sira nights, weddings, mountain yachts, asbap nights and laments. The fact that the hoyrat, which has themes such as expatriate, homeland, love, affection, sadness, longing, and death, is read mostly by men in Şanlıurfa and is read by people with a strong voice, shows that it is difficult to perform. Today, the long air type hoyrata is frequently encountered in Şanlıurfa music. There are "Hoyratcılar" as a branch at Sira nights. By adding a different harmony to the rough music sung in rhythmic melodies, it excites the listeners with excitement. Key words: Hoyrat, Şanlıurfa Music, Hoyrat types, Şanlıurfa.
