Process improvement proposal by creating a sales cockpit in sap:national vehicle identification system example

The process improvement proposal examined in this study involves the integration of SAP, an Enterprise Resource Planning software, and the National Vehicle Identification System, one of the current business processes. The current process of the company was analyzed and a 'Sales Cockpit' was developed in line with the data obtained. With the developed sales cockpit, process improvement was achieved in many areas such as simplification of the process, shortening of processing times with automation, and reduction of user errors. SAP's customizing and ABAP development tools were used for the improvement process. With the process improvement proposal examined within the scope of the thesis, UTTS processes were integrated into SAP. The sales cockpit, which provides ease of use compared to standard processes, is an example for different business processes. The simplification of business processes with ERP systems and the effect of automation on productivity have been demonstrated in practice with this study. Although various studies exist in the current literature on SAP applications and automation solutions, no comprehensive research has been found focusing on the integration of a sector-specific system such as the National Vehicle Identification System with SAP and its impact on sales processes. This study provides an original contribution by addressing a sectoral need and offering a user-friendly alternative to standard SAP processes through a custom-developed "Sales Cockpit." Furthermore, the findings obtained have the potential to serve as a guide for ERP integration projects in different industries, thereby enhancing the practical value of the study.
