Şark Telegraph newspaper (1958-1960)

The aim of this thesis is to present the political, economical, social, current, educational, cultural and artistic news that the Şark Telegraph newspaper brought to its pages between 1958-1960 in a chronological order. For this purpose, the formation dynamics of the local press by tackling press and local press history, and a through which factors they deal with an event while making a news have been the subject of the discussion in our study. It has been determined from the resource books, printed works, doctoral thesis, and archives of the newspaper that Şark Telegraph newspaper had an important role in the formation of local press in Muş, and a local journalistic understanding and method is formed. Moreover, it has been determined that Şark Telegraph newspaper acted with a national perspective while political, military and economic conditions and social developments in the country being transferred to the news pages of local journalism.
