Abstract (EN)
11 ABSTRACT This research was carried out to determine the nutrition knowledge level, nutrition habits and working conditions of salesmen in various shops in the border of Ankara municipality. This research has been carried out on totally 330 salesmen, including 166 female and 164 male salesmen selected randomized sampling method. 44.8 % of Body mass index (BKI) of the salesmen including of this research is normal. 80.6 % of the salesmen have worked during 6 days in a week for averagely 10 hours per day. Based on general average values, the nutrition knowledge level of the salesmen is partially sufficient by correct answering of x = 24.58 of 39 question related with nutrition knowledge, with a successful rate of 63 %. Salesmen usually have had meal 2 or 3 times per day. Mostly skipped meal is breakfast The skipping of the meal is resulted from some reasons such as limited time and not to longing for meal. The salesmen generally have lunch in the refectory at the work or in a special place for eating. The range of smoking and drinking of fruit juice, tea and coffee is high among the salesmen. The salesmen feel physical disturbances and tiredness since they mostly work on foot. The energy amount used daily of the salesmen is 2600 Kkal.
