Objective: Postoperative mortality and morbidity rates of patients after open heart surgery are closely related to ischemia-induced reperfusion injury. In open heart surgeries, cardioplegia solution is needed to stop the heart in diastole after aortic cross clamp, to protect the myocardium and to prevent ischemia / reperfusion injury. In this study, it is planned to compare the effects of two cardioplegia solutions used in open heart operations on the myocardial damage markers SDF-1 protein and ischemia modified albumin levels in myocardial tissue. Method: Ethical committee approval was obtained in the experimental animal study with the protocol number 25/2017 of the Animal Experiments Ethics Committee of DEU Multidisciplinary Laboratory. Experimental animals were obtained from the DEU Multidisciplinary Laboratory. Wistar albino type rats were randomly selected from 3 groups. Group 1 (n: 7): Sham group (4ml physiological saline solution) intracardiac Group 2 (n: 7): Traditional solution St.Thomas (Plegisol). (4 ml solution) intracardiac Group 3 (n: 7): new generation solution del Nido (4 ml solution) intracardiac Rats in all groups were anesthetized with 45 mg / kg Ketamine / 7 mg / kg xylazine intraperitoneally. Subjects were detected by giving a supine position. Then, asepsis was provided by shaving and disinfection. The heart was reached by sternotomy in rats. It was heparinized from the atrium while the heart was running. All rats in all groups undergone sternotomy. The rats in all groups were placed in the aorta with a cross-clamp and controlled ischemia was created in the heart. Following the cross-clamp, 4 ml of cardioplegia was provided with the help of a branule from the aortic root. After reperfusion, the cross-clamp was removed and the heart was completely sacrificed. The myocardial tissues were frozen with liquid nitrogen and the procedure was completed. Results: Cardioplegia solution with traditional cardioplegia solution in St. Stephens (Plegisol) and new generation cardioplegia solution del Nido oxidative stress markers ischemia modified albumin (IMA) and stromal derived factor (SDF1) were evaluated in myocardial ischemia / reperfusion model. When the analysis values are examined; SDF1 value of the control group was found to be 33,221 ± 16,558, the SDF1 value of the pleisol group was 24,114 ± 22,470 and the SDF1 of the del Nido group was 35,007 ± 23,365 (p = 0.456). When IMA analysis values are examined; The IMA value of the control group was 99,790 ± 92,246, the IMA value of the pleisol group was 257,587 ± 98,347 and the IMA value of the del Nido group was found as 236,918 ± 118,376 (p = <0.05). Conclusion: There was no significant difference between the groups in both the St.Thomas group and the del Nido group in terms of myocardial protection efficiency.
