Özet (EN)

Comparison of the Treatment of Burn Wound in Rats With Murt Tree Extract, Amnion Fluid and Silver Sulfadiazine Burns; contain compelling long, psycological and economical treatment period for the patient and the owner in terms of healing process and complications associated with this process. After burn occurred, the inflammatory response and high immune activity are compilation of rather comlicated events that orchestrated by secreted several cytokines and mediators. Beside local injuries it may cause deep systemic effects. Alternative to ordinary treatments, herbal therapies have been used by public for years. In this study, it was compared effects of silver sulphadiazine (Silverdin) containing chemical component preferred worldwide, a herbal agent myrtus tree extract (Myrtus communis) and a biological amnion fluid in burn wounds. Sprague-Dawley rats were anesthetized with a xylazine-ketamine combination and their dorsum areas were shaved. The coordinates of the 4 points were determined and 4 burn wounds were achieved by contacting it with its own weight with a 1 cm diameter iron rod heated for 5 minutes in boiling water at 100°. During the 6 days following the creation of the burn wounds, the wound area number 2 was treated with silver sulfadiazine, the wound area number 3 with amniotic fluid and the wound area number 4 with murt tree extract. Number 1 wound area was left for natural healing without any intervention. Area calculations were made in the AUTOCAD program by taking photographs during the 6 days of treatment and on the 9th, 14th, 21st, 24th, 27th and 30th days afterwards. At the end of 30 days, tissue samples were taken from the treated rats under anesthesia and were sacrifisized with cervical dislocation. As a result of histopathological analysis; with the application of the murt tree extract, it was observed that the reepithelization and collagenization formed in the proliferative phase, which is the most important phase of wound healing in the burn areas, was completed in a healthy and faster way, and the healing areas in the area shrank faster than other agents In addition, it was observed that the vessels were withdrawn from the area and their number decreased detected by immunohistochemical analysis indicating that the last stages of wound healing were reached faster. x Our study concluded that murt tree extract could be a phytotherapeutic alternative to routine burn wound treatment plans.
