Abstract (EN)

Phthalocyanines (Pcs) are 18 π-electron aromatic macrocycles comprising fourisoindole units linked together through their 1,3-positions by aza bridges. The particular two-dimensional electron delocalization over these macrocycles gives rise to a great number of unique physical properties. Thus, Phthalocyanines are chemically and thermally stable compounds that exhibit exceptional optical andelectrical behavior. For these reasons, they find wide application in the area ofmaterials science. In the present work, novel metallooctaphthalocyanines [M: Zn(II)(6), Co(II)(7), Pb(II)(8)] substituted with ((Z)-(3-hydroxy naphthalen-2-yl) methyleneamino) phenylthio) at peripheral positions was obtained by the condensation of 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24-octakis-(2-aminophenylthio) metal(II) phthlocyanines (M= Zn(II), Co(II), Pb(II) and1-hydroxy-2-naphthaldehyde. These compounds were purified and they were characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, UV-VIS and Floresans MS (Maldi-TOF) spectral data. Keywords : phthalocyanines, lead, zinc, cobalt, schiff base
