Designing and application of SCORM consistent and web based distance learning management system which can be expanded

Important developments in information technologies and increasing information consistency, bring forward some difficulties like finding out the right information and managing this information. These difficulties as well as increasing population and limited schools and teachers focused the societies on new alternatives. Thanks to the developments in web technologies information can be shared without limits of time or location, and also it has become manageable and evalunble. With the use of web technologies in education, web based teaching and managing systems have come forward. These teaching systems are durable and reusable, they can be used with other softwares, and they?re attainable and portable. In order to reach these standarts SCORM systems have been developed. In this way, so as to support education, a web based modular distance education managing system has been designed. The system developed for high education consists of modular structure and it was developed in accordance with SCORM standarts. In this study, some information was given on the preporation of SCORM consistent web based learning management system, analysis reports were prepared and the modules were explained in detail.
